Despina has a question for you: do you know the difference between self-care and self-compassion? Self-care is doing things that help you feel better mentally, physically, or emotionally: taking a hot bath, eating a snack, making a needed appointment, talking to a friend, etc. Self-compassion means thinking kind thoughts and using kind language with yourself: reminding yourself that it’s okay to feel whatever emotions you’re feeling, telling yourself that it’s okay to make mistakes, allowing yourself to move on from negative thoughts instead of playing them on repeat. Self-compassion is something you can practice all the time, no matter what you’re doing!
There’s green behind Despina in this pic, but it’s just a bush that doesn’t change color or lose its leaves. It’s invasive in my area, so I’m going to remove it this spring. Nothing is actually greening up here yet. It was lovely and warm the day I took this picture, though.
